Sara Cody and Doug Owens writes:

A few little known facts about Gudmund:

1) His hidden holster apparatus has made hoards of Texans deeply envious
2) He thinks he might be a Good Man from Texan, but we know Gudmund to be Norwegian
3) The speeches of famous Norwegians are more deeply appreciated in California than in Texas
3) We are raising Gudmund’s son, Chipper, who plans move to Norway “when he is a grown-up” (that’s just shy of 13 years from now)
4) Gudmund has enough electronic equipment in our garage to fund Chipper’s college education

And some better known ones:
Late September and October are our most cherished months, for that is when Gudmund and Charlotte are here! All four of us anticipate the time like kids waiting for Christmas

Happy birthday from Sara, Doug, Rachel and Christopher!

One Response to “Cody-Owens family (eng.)”

  1. Yes, late September and October is also for us our favorite time of the year. The one obvious outward reason is the Indian summer we enjoy after the sun has burned off the low patchy morning clouds at Stanford – and makes its clear skies, velvet warmth and eucalyptus fragrance the unsurpassed alternative to the growing darkness and incessant rain in Norway in October.
But the real reason is the warmth of friendship, the most welcome interruptions of Rachel and Chipper accompanied by Sonoma chardonnay.
So in case you happen to look for the GPS coordinates for a place called Paradise, aim for location where the picture of the Cody-Owens crew was taken. It is where even the chirps of iPad´s Angry Birds sound like Paradise birds.
